 This fast paced introduction to designing hand paint self-patterning sock yarns will give you a good base from which to grow.  We will use acid dyes & sock weight wool to make your one-of-a-kind works of art.  Each student will receive two 350 yard skeins of superwash corrigdale wool yarn to design and dye.

 You will be guided through two methods of applying the dye to your yarn to achieve a beautifully dyed skein of yarn.  Your skeins will then be wrapped, steamed and returned to you at the end of the class.

Come join us as we explore the secrets to dying self-patterning sock yarn.  This class is Saturday.  You may choose to also take the Sunday class for an additional $45.00.

Kit Includes– Two 350 yard skeins Superwash Wool, dying supplies and booklet.

This Sunday morning class will help you add another skill to your yarn dying.   We will use acid dyes, sock weight wool and a winding board to learn how to dye complex patterns for sock yarn.

 You will be guided through the processes of winding your yarn onto the board, applying dye and unwinding the yarn to achieve a unique product.  You will learn how to use Pro Chem Acid dyes and the trick to wraping each individual mini-skein.  Finally you will learn how to unwind a previously dyed and dried skein.

 Come join us as learn the secrets to dying self-patterning sock yarn using a winding board.   This class is Sunday and you will leave with your skein dyed and steamed ready to dry and unwind on your board which is included in the class price.
